Only a few details were available at the time, specifically that it would be March 28-April 4 and somewhere that patrons could ski and snowboard. Now, Anjunabeats elevations has been officially unveiled, set to go down in the town of Avoriaz, France, at one of the first snowboarding/skiing resorts in the world. Axwell brings a different kind of Halloween vibe this year with his new remix of “Graveyard” by Halsey. This combo isn’t a total surprise, but it’s still somewhat unexpected. Axwell teased an unnamed remix a little over a week ago and dropped this one on fans today. Not only are Halsey’s vocals pitched down for a bit of a darker vibe, the entire vibe of the song is thoroughly reimagined. The original “Graveyard” was as close to a singer/songwriter masterclass as you get, with acoustic guitar, soft electronic pads, and Halsey’s enchanting vocals. As soon as Axwell got his hands on it, the electronic aspect was pushed to its limits with the Swedish house star at the helm. Vocals were chopped and screwed and the quaint songwriting and composition was replaced with a dirty bassline fit for dark clubs at 3am. Everyone today is dropping spooky tracks or mixes in celebration of Halloween — except for Martin Garrix . Honestly, it’s hard to tell if there’s a spooky bone in the wholesome Dutch boy’s body, and his new song with Dean Lewis, “Used To Love,” reinforces the suspicion that there isn’t. “Used To Love” is the usual Garrix fare, with some quaint vocal chops in the drop and an non-intrusive melody. Lewis’ voice never really stands out from the production, which itself never really reaches any sort of crescendo. It’s a lot like his songs “No Sleep” with BONN or “There for You” with Troye Sivan, showing off a more mellow side to his sound, rather than the firework-inducing main stage bangers most people know him for. After updating their profile picture and cover photo on Facebook, the band revealed a “RETURN” show set for Friday, December 20, 2019 in Los Angeles at the Shrine Expo Hall. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 12:00 PM PST with prices starting at $149. The general standing capacity of the Shrine Expo Hall is approximately 5,000, so this  will sell out instantly. EDC Vegas may still be the flagship Insomniac event, but a smaller spin-off has become its own force of nature. It’s suitable for a festival set in a state threatened by hurricanes, heat waves with scolding sunburns and the dreaded Florida Man. Thankfully, this festival is in November, away from hurricanes and the worst of the Florida sun. No promises on Florida Man though…but expect a lot of happy ravers. EDC returns to Orlando next weekend, this time running three days and spanning five stages. EDC Orlando launched nearly nine years ago in May 2011 at Tinker Field, with artists such as Skrillex , Calvin Harris and Goldie on the lineup. Flash forward to 2019: EDC Orlando is still at Tinker Field, but has expanded to be almost a new event entirely. Last Friday, EDC Orlando announced the festival’s daily lineup by stage, and it’s exciting to see the breadth of talent on display. From pure EDM to rolling tech house, EDC Orlando’s lineups and stages have something for everyone.

It’s the most~ wonderful time~ of the year~ No, it’s not Christmas. It’s Halloween and RL Grime just dropped his annual mix just moments ago. This year, the intro duty was given to none other than Guy Fieri — it’s hard to conceive how the two came into contact, or how Fieri even agreed to jump on the mix, but we’re definitely not complaining. There’s a lot to be said about the undercard and support in curating a festival lineup, but when you have headlining sets from Calvin Harris and Skrillex and Zedd and Martin Garrix… not much else needs to be said. Fans of musical theatre may already know Kirrah Amosa, the Aussie songstress who has performed in a gallery of well-known musicals including  Wicked,  for which she won two awards. Her pop pedigree has also strengthened as the performed with the likes of Rita Ora, Adam Lambert and Rob Thomas. She released her debut EP  Trials  in 2018 to critical acclaim and fans fell in love with her honest lyrics paired with funky musical style. She also famously appeared on The Voice Australia this past year, but that didn’t exactly go to plan. For those who have been looking for Mindscape’s new EP  Hogzilla under his old monkier, you’ll be happy to know it’s not an error with Beatport. Facebook  and  Instagram are cracking down on the use of eggplant and peach emojis — as well as nude photos in which emojis cover “genitalia, butts or female nipples.” Moving forward, pairing an eggplant or peach emoji with any expression of sexual nature may get you banned. Also, photos with emojis covering private areas may be taken down. “[Content] will only be removed from Facebook and Instagram if it contains a sexual emoji alongside an implicit or indirect ask for nude imagery, sex or sexual partners, or sex chat conversations,” Instagram revealed to the New York Post . If you’re outraged about this, you’re not alone. It sounds silly, but taking away our eggplants and peaches is a form of censorship. The Australian artist recently sat down with  Mixmag to talk about his live show, his influences, and the future. Throughout the conversation, they touch on his visuals from Jonathan Zawada, who produced most of the  Hi This Is Flume mixtape visualizer , as well as what it might be like if an artist played exactly to what the Spotify algorithm favors most… just as an experiment. If you’ve been following Insomniac ’s socials lately, you’ve probably been warned that there’s an impending alien invasion. It’s all going down on New Year’s Eve at the NOS Events Center in Southern California as Insomniac rings in 2020 with Countdown .
