Elon Musk Releases EDM Track “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe”

Yes, you heard that right. Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, has just released an EDM track called “Don't Doubt ur Vibe.” Released on EMO G Records, the new song is actually better than we expected. Elon Musk made the announcement for the track on his Twitter. It was completely unexpected; however, earlier this week he has The post Elon Musk Releases EDM Track “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe” appeared first on EDM Sauce . from EDM Sauce https://ift.tt/38W8Kz6 via IFTTT

Yellow Claw Release Fourth Studio Album, “Never Dies”

Yellow Claw’s debut album,  Blood For Mercy , is still one of my favorite albums of the last decade (among hundreds of others). Collaborations with Becky G, Flux Pavilion, Lil Eddie, and way more added flavor to the whole project that gave it some much needed variety and quality production. The Dutch group has released two more albums since then, in 2017 and 2018, that were good but… lacked that initial sheen. Now, they’re back with their fourth studio album,  Never Dies , and it still hasn’t reached the quality of that first album, but it’s getting closer. The biggest issue with  Never Dies is the pacing. It goes from emotional ballad to hard to soft to banger to bigger banger, and then a couple soft hip hop tunes, and so on. It’s not necessarily the variance in vibe, either, but more so how they’re all fitted together. It feels like a collection of singles rather than a full album, which will likely be how I listen to this album after today is done. Yellow Claw’s biggest streng

Kayzo & Lil Texas Don’t Hold Back with New Collab “Rules of the Game” [LISTEN]

In this corner, we have EDM prodigy Kayzo … And in the other corner, speed demon Lil Texas . The “Rules of the Game” are about to change as these two team up for an absolutely raw and ruthless collaboration that’s half texcore, half drum and bass — and a little bit rock and roll. The drums alone will knock you out quicker than McGregor, not to mention the rave-ready synths and highly aggressive drops. Kayzo and Lil Texas both harness a distinct kind of energy that’s better heard than explained, and to have them together on a single track is an absolute treat. As true champions of their own sounds, their single “Rules of the Game” instinctively screams out both of their names. Kayzo intros the track as, “THE FASTEST TWO AND (A) HALF MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE.” Turn it up, brace yourself, and hit play at your own risk! ‘The Story of Hardwell’ Out Now On Revealed Recordings [LISTEN]

Image
The Story of Hardwell unfolds track-by-track with this new release, as Revealed Recordings drops an album jam-packed with the superstar DJ/producer’s greatest hits. Running 25 songs deep and an hour and a half long, there’s a Hardwell classic for every occasion. From “Spaceman” to “Apollo” to “Zero 76” and beyond, this is every ultimate Hardwell fan’s most comprehensive collection to date. In 2018, Hardwell took a huge step back from touring, but that has allowed him even more studio time. Years from now, we may be treated to another chapter of Hardwell’s story. “I want to come back stronger than ever,” he previously wrote in a statement , “but for now, I’m just going to be me for a while.” In a teaser video posted for the single yesterday, with testimonials from his closest friends and colleagues, he also mentioned “ the end of the story of Hardwell”… so what could that mean? I'm proud to present you "The Story Of Hardwell (Best Of)" album Get it here https:/

Music producer, Shndō, has officially released a new remix to Pitbull and Ne-Yo's latest single “Me Quedaré Contigo” and it is certainly out of this world. He has recreated this catchy single and added his own dance-pop touch to it. You can still enjoy the beloved Latin elements, but with some dance music flare. WATCH: DJ Snake Soundtracks The New Fast & Furious Trailer

Image
The hotly anticipated trailer for F9 , the ninth movie in the Fast & Furious franchise, dropped today with more familia than ever. Introducing John Cena as a new villain (and Dom’s brother, shocker), as well as the return of director Justin Lin and , oh, Han (Sung Kang) is alive. Surprise! F9’s high-octane trailer is loaded with cheese, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t going to bring in hundreds of millions at the box office. And to help amp up the excitement, the trailer needed some high-octane music. DJ Snake’s “Frequency 75” mashes up with Kids See Ghosts’ “Feel The Love” to provide the soundtrack for the teaser event. This isn’t the first time the FF franchise has made use of popular EDM tracks, or even the first time it’s used DJ Snake. His and Dillon Francis’ track “Get Low” was featured in the Fast & Furious 7 trailer in 2014, and  Bassnectar’s “Speakerbox” was used in the  Fate Of The Furious trailer from 2016. Check out the trailer for F9 below. This article wa

New Study Suggests Ketamine Use Underreported, Likely Due to Unknown Exposure, Among EDM Partygoers

A new study published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine suggests that ketamine use is extensively underreported and EDM party attendees may be unintentionally exposed to the drug. According to the study, nearly 37 percent of electronic dance music (EDM) party attendees test positive for ketamine use when samples of their hair are tested—despite only 14.6 percent disclosing that they have used the drug in the past year. In general, individuals who frequent EDM parties report higher levels of recreational drug use compared to the general population. A majority of these individuals don’t properly test what they’ve bought or are taking, and are susceptible to adulterants in drugs like MDMA and cocaine. Researchers surveyed hundreds of adults entering EDM parties in New York City about their past-year drug use for the study. In addition, 216 participants provided hair samples, which were analyzed to detect drug use in the past 12 months. When taking into consideration both se

San Holo Releases New Collaboration, “Honest” with Broods, Years In The Making

As any artist can tell you, sometimes it can take literal years for a song concept to come to fruition and see release. A lot of times, these songs don’t end up standing the test of time — and while they might have been stellar in the moment, due to bureaucracy or whatever else, they end up falling short later on and get scrapped. Now I’m not saying that’s what happened with San Holo’s new song, “Honest,” at all. In fact, even years after it was conceived, “Honest” is still brutally beautiful and just as relevant as it must have been when it was just a sparkle in San’s eyes. According to the press release spread this morning, while San Holo initially conceived the song, ultimately it became a collaborative effort with Broods’ Georgia Nott and San Holo’s co-writers, Kyle Shearer and Nate Campany, joining forces. The song explores the theme of pure intentions and staying vibrant in all of one’s interactions. San Holo says, “‘Honest’ is a song I wrote a few years back about being hon

Krewella’s New Album “zer0” Is Their Most Sonically Cohesive Work In Years

It’s no surprise that Krewella , sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf, was in a bit of a tailspin following the departure of founding member Kris Trindl, aka Rain Man, in 2014. The now-duo’s musical identity was thrown into disarray with accusations that Rain Man was solely responsible for the group’s production, and the sisters were shown almost nothing but disrespect by anyone that wasn’t a part of their die-hard fan base for years after, and still to this day. Of course, they persisted. Over the last five years, Krewella hasn’t let the haters get them down. They’ve been pumping out music constantly while rediscovering their identity, and it’s led them to become more in tune with their cultural heritage as Pakistanis. The influence can be seen now throughout their branding and sound and has helped them become more cohesive as artists than they have in years. All of this has led to their third studio album,  zer0 . One of the first things you’ll notice about the album is how well it

Calvin Harris Returns To Hakkasan Group With Exclusive Residency

Hakkasan Group unveiled its fantastic roster of artists for 2020 earlier this month, but there was one still in chamber that promised to keep the global hospitality company at the top. Joining the likes of Tiësto, Zedd, and Martin Garrix will be Calvin Harris who returns with an exclusive residency. Harris’ new limited engagement residency, exclusive to OMNIA Nightclub at Caesars Palace, includes seven dates throughout 2020 beginning Friday, April 24. Harris’ residency extension announcement follows shortly after the release of his new project Love Regenerator , which includes two tracks, “Hypnagogic (I Can’t Wait)” and “CP-1.” Hakkasan Group and Harris’ partnership initially began in 2013, and the DJ performed at OMNIA Nightclub’s grand opening in 2015. Together, Harris and Hakkasan Group have successfully put OMNIA Nightclub on the map as one of the world’s leading nightlife destinations attracting millions of visitors each year. 2020 Dates For Calvin Harris at OMNIA Nightclu

SoundCloud’s Recommended Track After Elon Musk’s EDM Song Is Called “Erectile Dysfunction”

Image
The world woke up a little happier and a bit more confused today since Elon Musk uploaded a new dance music track to SoundCloud called, “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe.” Obviously this isn’t a GRAMMY-award winning track, but it’s also not the worst thing I’ve ever heard. Now, as you might know, SoundCloud can be pretty hit or miss with its Related Tracks algorithm. Some days you can fall down an absolutely epic hole of undiscovered gems; others, you find SoundClown . (Which, to some, is its own hole of undiscovered gems.) In the case of “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe,” the first related track is… well… And the reactions have been hilarious. Why on earth soundcloud proposes the following track after yours ?? https://t.co/vY7rjBmbOp Tried several times, same following one… pic.twitter.com/hIdTXLIlBn — JeanSébastien GALLOO (@jsgalloo) January 31, 2020 Curiously, after playing this (admittedly not terrible) dance track on SoundCloud it is automatically followed up with “Erectile Dysfunction”

Duck Sauce Mark Epic Return with Feel-Good Single “Smiley Face”

At long last, Duck Sauce have returned with their epic comeback single “Smiley Face.” As the title suggests, the production is bursting with nothing but good vibes throughout. Built for the dance floor, “Smiley Face” matches overwhelming joy and soulful energy with the funkiest bassline we’ve heard in a hot minute. It’s been six years since Duck Sauce ( A-Trak & Armand Van Helden ) released new music together, after all. The press release is too good to not share: In 2009 A.D., two rogue researchers set on a path to spread the gospel of man’s most stoic waterfowl friend: the duck. For five feathered years, the Canadian trapezist known on the Dark Web as A-Trak and the diplomatic passport-holding hostage negotiation expert Armand Van Helden distilled their avian discoveries to the tune of the kickdrum. They called this project Duck Sauce. Catch Duck Sauce at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival both weekends in 2020. We dare you to listen and not crack a smile! Duck

Porter Robinson Gives His Honest Opinion On Bootleg Remixes

Image
Porter Robinson is weighing in about bootleg remixes in the music industry — and because it’s Porter, we all stop and listen. When a banger or hit gains in popularity — let’s say “ Griztronics ” for example — many producers are quick to release a bootleg, aka an unofficial remix. Whether they jump on the bootleg bandwagon for “opportunistic” reasons or simply for the love of the music is up for debate. Porter seems to see the best in every situation and believes there’s no harm in bootlegs. It made him happy, in fact, to hear a pitched up edit of “ Get Your Wish ” less than 24 hours after its release. He writes in a statement below: i don’t see any problem with bootlegging/remixing/editing a popular track soon after comes out. I know people think it’s opportunistic… but who cares what some people think lol He continues: express your excitement however you want. if you’re inspired to make something just go for it Although we believe it’s rare to find a remix or edit of any of h

Insomniac Sues USC Events For Breaching Paradiso Contract, Plans New Festival At The Gorge

Last June, Insomniac Events and USC Events co-produced and threw the annual summer festival Paradiso at the Gorge in Washington. Months later, vendors and employees began to reveal on social media that they had still not been paid for their services at the festival. Now, Insomniac has officially filed a lawsuit against Conscious Entertainment Group, LLC, more commonly known as USC Events for breach of contract, among other things. According to the suit, either Insomniac or USC could terminate their partnership contract if either party was found in breach. It alleges that Insomniac eventually gave USC over $2 million which the Seattle company could not appropriately account for when asked for invoices and financial information following the conclusion of the festival. Insomniac was forced to cover payments of $215,055 to Paradigm and $638,650 to UTA for artists who had not been paid for their time. More was paid to vendors. Despite this, USC has apparently continued to promote P

Elon Musk Drops New EDM Record “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe”

January 2020 has been… a lot. The Australian bushfires, Iran, earthquakes, viruses, Kobe… it’s hard to keep track. But the universe has seen fit to cram in one last “I’m sorry, what?” moment just before the end of the month. Elon Musk just dropped a new EDM record titled, “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe.” Remember this isn’t the first music track that Elon has dropped. He put out “RIP Harambe” last year. But now he’s in the studio with Tom Norris, aka getyoursnackon , (in blue, pictured below), who has worked with Skrillex, on Madeon’s new album, and Illenium’s as well, for “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe.” Vibbbe pic.twitter.com/21WKNOnMXZ — E “D” M (@elonmusk) January 31, 2020 “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe” is actually a pretty beautifully composed progressive house track once you get over the initial shock factor. Movement Festival Detroit Announces its 2020 Lineup with Underworld, Testpilot, Speedy J, and More!

Image
Just over a month ago we were all teased with a little snippet of the Movement 2020 lineup . It sported the names of Adam Beyer, The Black Madonna, Boris Brejcha, DJ Stringray, Four Tet, Kobisil, Louie Vega, Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, and Seth Troxler. Fan’s were abuzz with the stacked talent of just these few names so hopes were set pretty high for the full release. Over the course of the last three days Paxahu has slowly been releasing the lineup for each festival day. This past Monday gave us a taste of what’s to come on day one of the festival. One of the major highlights was undoubtedly the return of Underworld to Detroit — nearly 20 years since their last show city, and their first time playing Movment. “Detroit’s importance in the evolution and history of electronic music is unquestionable, and has been hugely influential to us,” said Underworld founding members Rick Smith and Karl Hyde . “We’re very excited to be returning after twenty one years away to dance with you ag

After Record Revenue, SoundCloud’s First Move Is… Stories?

Earlier this month, SoundCloud posted a record revenue for the company following layoffs and expanding its Premier monetization platform. After such a momentous announcement, you’d think that the streaming company would introduce some sort of cool feature, improve on its existing features, or something along those lines. Nope. Stories. Everything has stories now. Instagram. Facebook. WhatsApp. Even YouTube. And Spotify. Now, SoundCloud. Why? Who knows. No one asked for this. Will it negatively affect me in any way? Absolutely not. I still don’t really like it if the alternative is putting effort into features that would actually benefit the community. That being said, there’s an argument to be made that users’ feeds have become oversaturated by repost chains and the quality of content they see day-to-day has dropped significantly. Adding stories could serve to put songs back in the eyes of listeners directly — though it remains to be seen if stories on SoundCloud won’t end up g

Gorillaz Drop Unbearably Addicting New Single “Momentary Bliss” with slowthai & Slaves

Image
Yesterday, Gorillaz shared some cryptic content pointing to a new project called “Song Machine.” Now, with the release of a new single and the first mini-episode of the project out, it’s on. “Momentary Bliss” with slowthai & Slaves is an unbearably addicting little jaunt of a song, with thematic similarities to Dynamite Hack’s cover of “Boyz In The Hood.” It’s quirky and weird in the best of ways, with a fantastic rhythm and flow to everything. It’s not unreasonable to play it dozens of times in a row. (I’m not speaking from personal experience or anything…) The video for the single shows Gorillaz in their own Kong Studios working alongside their new collaborators, blending the group’s iconic animation with a rare look at the live band in action. In addition to the single, fans will also be able to listen to the first episode of “Machine Bitez,” bite-sized conversations between the cartoon band members, with 2D, Murdoc, and Russel. According to Consequence of Sound , there’s

[PREMIERE] Kill The Noise Unleashes Massive Remix Of Moody Good “SIXTYSIXTY”

Image
Moody Good dropped his  Goofball  EP nearly a year ago now, and has released a few more singles in the meantime, but he’s now getting ready to drop the remix EP tomorrow. Of particularly incredible mention is the wild remix of “SIXTYSIXTY” from Kill The Noise. Still one of dance music’s most respected producers, despite minimal releases over the past couple years (compared to some more prolific producers), he shows he still hasn’t lost his touch. “SIXTYSIXTY” was already a technically impressive tune with just Moody Good in the mix, but once Kill The Noise got his hands on it it just simply went up another level.
