Nile Rodgers & CHIC Put Out First Album in 26 Years [MUST LISTEN]

Nile Rodgers and CHIC just put out their first record in 26 years. It’s been over a quarter of a century since these great minds released Chic-ism in early 1992 — and they’ve still got it.

The new album cover mimics that of CHIC in 1977. Times have changed, but dance music is still connecting us all. Fittingly titled It’s About Time, the record features 10 total tracks including previously released “Boogie All Night” and “Till the World Falls.”

There’s no shortage of star-studded collaborations, with old school and modern legends alike. Everyone from Elton John to Lady Gaga to Mura Masa and Vic Mensa, and more are featured. Rodgers has also teased forthcoming collaborations with Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars, so we can expect those coming on the second installment expected February 2019.

Disco-funk is alive and well — thriving, in fact — as heard in the first of a two-part series.

So what are you waiting for? Get up and dance to this and make your weekend instantly better!
